Visit Tutor, a free online tutoring assistance program that provides unlimited access to a network of tutors 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Tutors are available via audio and chat, and appointments can be spontaneous or scheduled. Written assignments can also be “dropped off” for review. You can receive help with writing, mathematics, reading, science, business, Spanish, nursing, allied health, computers and technology. The Tutor.com link can be found in any of your MyCourses classes.
COA’s library and learning services provides class- and topic-specific research guides developed by the library staff to help you find the resources you need for class assignments.
Curriculum Pathways, Provided by Statistical Analysis System (SAS™)
Khan Academy offers help with math, science, economics, history, music, art and computers, and includes test prep for SAT, NCLEX-RN, GMAT and MCAT. Access Khan Academy by logging in with either your Facebook™ or Google™ account.
Get Body Smart offers visual, interactive animations to help you learn about the human body.
Math is Power offers free math tutorial lessons and videos.
Test Prep Review helps Health Sciences students to practice and prepare for the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), Accuplacer, ACT, HSED, NCLEX, PRAXIS, SAT and graduate school tests.
Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL Purdue) offers access to the free Modern Language Association (MLA), American Psychological Association (APA) and Chicago style guides, as well as easy to follow style examples to help with your writing assignments.
