Gardening Tips
Care | Known Problems | How to Harvest | Mature Size | Notes/Uses |
---|---|---|---|---|
Keeping the early shrubs in a humid and warm habitat is especially important, but as the tree grows it will become more tolerant to shade and milder heat | The nectar of the swamp titi can cause purple brood, a toxic condition that affects adult bees and their larvae | The flowers of the swamp titi can be trimmed or plucked off of the tree safely, similar to roses | A fully grown Black ti-ti bush can grow to be 30 feet tall | The abundance of flowers attracts very large groups of pollinators, especially bees |
