College of The Albemarle has developed a Quality Enhancement Plan as a part of its commitment to continuous improvement and student success.  The College’s QEP titled “Gateways to Success” is a comprehensive and inclusive approach aimed at fostering student success, equity, and continuous improvement for adult learners from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.  

This plan seeks to reduce equity gaps in the following three performance measures: 

• Gateway English Course Completion
• Gateway Math Course Completion
• Fall Semester-to-Fall Semester Persistence  

In order to meet our goals, the College has implemented various strategies to address these student success equity gaps, including utilizing actionable progress reports, enhancing academic advising through a success coaching model, and initiating re-enrollment campaigns to bolster semester-to-semester persistence.

We want our students to be aware of the College’s QEP and our efforts to ensure students are successful with every opportunity to “Transform Your Tomorrow!”
