Requesting Pregnancy Accommodations
In order to receive reasonable accommodations, a student who is pregnant and/or experiencing related conditions must complete the Title IX Request for Pregnancy Accommodations Form. The student should complete the form as soon as possible to allow for time to process requests for accommodations as receipt of accommodations is not retroactive. Once submitted, the completed form will automatically be routed to the Title IX Coordinator.
Upon receipt of the Title IX Request for Pregnancy Accommodations Form, the Title IX coordinator or designee will:
a. Inform the student of the College’s obligations to students who are pregnant or experiencing pregnancy related conditions as well as provide the College’s notice of nondiscrimination;
b. Provide the student with the option of individualized, reasonable modifications as needed to prevent discrimination and ensure equal access to the College’s education program or activity;
c. Allow the student a voluntary leave of absence for, at minimum, the medically necessary time period and reinstatement upon return; and,
d. Ensure the student’s access to a clean, private space for lactation.
In providing an academic adjustment, the College is not required to lower or substantially modify essential requirements. The College does not have to make adjustments that would fundamentally alter the nature of a service, program, or activity, or that would result in an undue financial or administrative burden. Certain programs have contact hour requirements dictated by the state or national board policies which cannot be waived. When applicable, please consult your program handbook or speak with your program coordinator for more information.
Notification by the Title IX Coordinator or designee to instructors does not remove the student’s responsibility to communicate with the instructor(s) about ongoing or changing circumstances. It is the student’s responsibility to keep the instructor(s) informed of changes in status and any issues that may arise.

Refunds for classes are NOT part of Title IX accommodations.
