Elizabeth City, NC – College of The Albemarle (COA) will host its annual “Career Fair” on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at COA – Elizabeth City, in Building AE. Previously open to COA students, the fair will be open to the public this year.
College of The Albemarle has an intentional focus on providing educational and workforce development opportunities for adult learners throughout our service area. Certificate, diploma, and degree programs are available for everyone. The “Career Fair” is a great way to discover careers where COA can meet an individual’s employment interests and provide them with Better Skills. Better Jobs. Better Futures.
This year’s event will have 28+ employers represented, with additional employers still registering. The employers registered so far include: Albemarle Family YMCA, Albemarle Regional Health Services, B&M Contractors, Boddie Noell Enterprises/Hardee’s, Camp Cale, Chesapeake Police Department, Coca-Cola Consolidated, East Carolina Home Care, ECU Health, Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation, Elizabeth City Police Department, Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools, Greenville (NC) Vet Center, JWF Industries, National Park Service, NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island, NCWorks Career Center-Elizabeth City, North Carolina Department of Insurance, North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections – Pasquotank Correctional Institution, Saber Healthcare Group, Skills Inc, Sound Feet Shoes, Spring Arbor Senior Living, Sumitomo Drive Technologies, Twiddy and Company, United States Army, United States Air Force, and the United States Navy.

“This is a great opportunity for COA students and all residents from our surrounding communities to visit with area employers,” said Derek Meredith, COA Director of Advising and Student Success. “Many employers have positions that directly align with certificate, diploma, and degree-related programs offered at COA. College of The Albemarle is committed to providing better skills that prepare individuals for better jobs, ultimately providing the opportunity for a better future. We encourage everyone to visit COA – Elizabeth City on April 10th, beginning at noon, to connect with COA and employers who, together, can “Transform Your Tomorrow.”
