Bridging Non-Credit to Credit Learning
Students enrolled in Non-Credit (Continuing Education) training courses can request equivalency or credit for prior learning to relevant Credit (Curriculum) courses.
Credits for Prior Learning:
College of The Albemarle (College) may award Credits for Prior Learning (“CPL”) as designated by law and state regulations for the following prior learning methods:
A. Apprenticeship
B. Certification and licensures
C. Courses listed in high school to community college articulation agreements
D. Military education and training
E. Standardized examinations
F. Challenge exams/Proficiency
G. Portfolio assessment
H. Public Safety Training (“PST”) prefix courses
