Career READY Transition Class
The College and Career Readiness Program offers Career READY English and Math classes to help underprepared students excel academically in post-secondary education. Career READY (Refreshing, Enhancing, Accelerating, and Developing Your Skills) instruction also includes the necessary student support to foster success, exploration of career pathways and opportunities, and exposure to distance learning and hybrid courses. Instruction will focus on:
- Mathematics
- English
- Writing Concepts
The Career READY Transitional Class program provides customized learning that meets the developmental English and math course objectives that earn credits for college. Career READY Transitional Classes offers a minimum of 8 hours of instruction weekly in:
- Online, face-to-face, and hybrid (combination of online and face-to-face) instruction
Class Schedule
Elizabeth City Campus
Monday-Thursday
9am-11am and 12pm-2pm (face-to-face instruction)
8am-8pm (Lab)
Admission
To join the Career READY Transition Class, click the “CCR Application for Admission” button.
The following documents are required for admission:
- Social Security Card
- Unexpired state-issued photo identification (or passport or military identification)
